Through Our Eyes, A Day in the Life of an LRobInspires Intern
National Intern Day 2025: Why Our Internship Program Matters (#LRobInspiresInterns)
At LRobInspires, our internship program isn’t just an opportunity for students to learn; it’s a core part of who we are as a team. As leaders, Amy, Allison, Shannon, and I believe deeply in making space for the next generation of marketers to find their voice, confidence, and purpose.
Many students come to us unsure of what marketing really is. They may know bits and pieces (especially social media 😊), but they haven’t yet seen the scope of what this field can offer. That’s where we step in. Through a full suite of training sessions (all LRobInspires roles get involved), hands-on experience, direct client exposure, collaborative projects, and thoughtful feedback, we introduce our interns to the world of brand, strategy, storytelling, relationship-building, and impact.
We also don’t believe you can truly understand marketing by reading a textbook or watching a webinar. Marketing is human. It’s nuanced. It’s alive. And it’s something you learn by doing, experimenting, failing, iterating, and discovering what inspires you. (See the word choice there?)
Our entire team, from leadership to mentors and collaborators, is committed to giving our interns meaningful work, tangible tools, and a supportive environment. We’re proud to see them grow not only as marketers but as strong communicators, creative thinkers, and emerging leaders.
We’re inspired by every intern who joins us. They remind us why we do this work. We’re here to help people, create change, and build a more thoughtful, connected world.
Read on to meet our Summer 2025 Interns and hear what they’ve learned in their own words.
Aidan
Hey, I’m Aidan Roy, a summer marketing intern at LRobInspires. I currently attend Trinity University, a small school in San Antonio, Texas, where I play on the school’s soccer team, which is my favorite hobby. A fun fact about myself is that I can juggle!
The reason I was drawn to LRobInspires was due to it being my first Internship and overall experience with Marketing. Having a smaller team around me that encourages me by asking questions and guiding me in my career growth has been essential during my first steps into the work world.
From conducting interviews to creating graphics, LRobInspires gave me the chance to learn all aspects of marketing. Of all the projects I’ve worked on, creating a post on a DIY marketing kit stands out. With little instruction, I built the concept from scratch by starting with research, then applying what I found to craft a message aligned with the brand. I shared drafts with team members, revised based on feedback, and refined the content. From thinking independently to applying critiques, this project taught me how to navigate this professional-level creation and review process.
As I mentioned before, the trust and confidence the team at LRobInspires places in its interns is truly special. They understand that interns will seek out available resources when needed, which creates a supportive environment where you feel empowered to work independently and unrushed.
Once my internship ends, I’ll be flying back to school in San Antonio, joining my soccer team for preseason, and starting classes where I can apply the information I’ve learned this summer!
Carter
Hey, I’m Carter, a Management major at Clark University and a varsity soccer player. When I’m not on the field or studying, I’m either watching soccer or hanging out with Bowie, my dog, my unofficial intern partner, and proud member of the Barketing Team.
This internship with LRobInspires came at a perfect time. I had just finished a semester working on a nonprofit marketing project, and something about it stuck with me. I wanted to keep learning but in a real, hands-on way. Working here has given me that chance.
From the very first training, the team made sure we had the tools and knowledge to contribute. I still use the notebook they gave us on day one, there’s a lot to keep track of when you’re juggling spreadsheets, UTM codes, Google Analytics, and video content. I partnered with Aidan on a client project where we conducted an interview and gathered content for a campaign. It was the kind of work that challenged me to think strategically but also stay creative. And since I’ve been shadowing my mom (a.k.a. the COO), I’ve basically been her second pair of hands.
One of the highlights? A photo shoot with the Barketing Team. It reminded me that creativity can come from unexpected places and that dogs are pretty good at branding.
Preseason starts soon, but I hope to keep supporting the team however I can. This internship gave me a glimpse into a world where strategy, creativity, and teamwork intersect and I’m leaving with more clarity (and a lot more respect for what my mom actually does).
Isabella
Hi everyone, I’m Isabella! I’m a Business Administration student at North Carolina State University, so I travelled pretty far from my hometown Holliston, MA for school. I grew up dancing and I keep up with it today – not doing all the tap and jazz I used to but still trying to enjoy contemporary and ballet. I’m also an avid movie lover, so when the sun isn’t shining, you’ll find me either watching something at home or at the movies.
I came to LRobInspires in my senior year of high school as an intern, eager to learn and looking to grow professionally before going to college. And while I came into it nervous to work for a passionate, hard-working team as a high-schooler, I’m so glad I did. That entry into the professional world provided me with so many skills I had otherwise overlooked, like thoughtful communication, proactive efforts, and so many more. Now today, I feel incredibly grateful to have spent the summer working for an organization whose work feels so meaningful. Alongside the knowledge and experience I have gained in brand strategy, graphic design, social media marketing and more, the impactful connections to kindhearted clients and an empowering team of colleagues has made my internship with LRobInspires really wonderful.
So many things this summer have been so significant to me and my growth. Between training with well-experienced professionals, important interactions with clients, and then presentations and projects, I have been booked and busy in the best way. My favorite assignment? Designing and editing a promotional video showcasing LRobInspires’ work for one of their successful clients, Leadership MetroWest. I have learned more about content creation and video editing through this assignment than I have in my whole time as a student. Even having to recruit many members of the team on a search to find different components of the video was super fun.
And I can’t leave out my fellow interns. When I started as an intern in high school, I was the only one at the time. This time around, I was working with people just like myself who had the same aspirations and drive, and we made a great team. Even with all our own individual projects, the opportunity we had to collaborate, give feedback, and better our work cannot be overlooked, and having this environment of interns is just one thing LRobInspires gets right. Just as well, having photoshoots for client marketing and bonding over college decisions has created a team of friends, and we can all find a lot of joy in our partnerships.
As for the future, I’m still finding my path in my academic career, but this experience with LRobInspires is one that has truly helped me discover how much I enjoy the world of marketing!
Ishika
Hello! I’m Ishika, an incoming freshman at Babson College. I’m currently planning a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Strategy & Consulting. As a first-generation Indian American from Holliston, my drive to learn and grow shapes my journey. Whether through hobbies like classical Indian dance, golf, and squash or my academic pursuits.
Joining LRobInspires felt like a perfect match for me. I’ve always wanted to be part of a team with similar values that focus on creating a positive impact. My goal is to understand the marketing, branding, and PR side. While strengthening my communication and technical skills.
My experience has been impactful. Currently, I’m working on the “A New Day” series for Jou Nouvo. An organization in Bon Repos, Haiti, dedicated educating and economically empowering young people and their families. By sharing the stories of participants, our project has already attracted two sponsorships. Recently, I analyzed our email engagement – 44.2% and 1.4% click rate in the past 30 days – has motivated me to write even more impactful stories.
Also, I’ve taken on my first grant writing project and crafted blog posts to gain sponsorships. Through this work, I have gained three takeaways: quality is more important than quantity, effective communication is vital, and a robust marketing strategy depends on strong business planning.
What makes LRobInspires special is the chance to explore the careers I’m passionate about within a supportive, global team. Every day offers new nuggets and getting the chance to grow in this empowering environment.
As I look forward, I see myself becoming an entrepreneur, using the invaluable experiences and wisdom from my time with LRobInspires.
Mariella
Hi! My name is Mariella, and I am entering my senior year at Simmons University as a Public Relations and Marketing Communications major. I am from Medway, MA and I am passionate about dancing, journalism, and Boston sports. I love to play with my three cats at home (sorry, no dogs!) and enjoy running in my free time. I decided to join the LRobInspires team because of their purpose to make a difference. They genuinely care about what they do!
Additionally, I was thrilled to be able to get hands-on marketing experience. This was the perfect opportunity to dip my toes in a bit of everything, all while gaining valuable advice, skills, and knowledge from professionals (like Liz!) So far, I’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to explore new areas of marketing that I have not worked with before, like writing website copy for Passages or creating blog articles for College Raptor. My favorite moment was being able to see all our work for Passages come to light; hard work pays off!
I have also loved being able to spend time with the other interns, whether it be bouncing ideas off each other or capturing content for one of our clients, Putts and More, it has been wonderful having such a strong team! The difference between LRobInspires and any other marketing internship is the purpose behind what they do. There is a drive to make a difference and a care that is not easy to come by! I’ve also valued the chance to work directly with clients and be involved in every aspect of the marketing process.
As for what’s next, I will be headed back to Boston thrilled to continue working as a remote LRobInspires intern. Alongside my coursework and senior capstone, I will also be serving as President of my school’s dance company!
Nicole
Hi! My name is Nicole, and I’m a rising senior at Holliston High School looking to study business administration and marketing in college. I’m from Holliston, MA, and in my free time, I love painting with gouache and watercolor, reading (so much so that I’m a 2-year leader of the Book Club at my high school), and playing tennis. I came to LRobInspires because I noticed that I had a knack for marketing and all things branding. It was to the point where I was catching myself analyzing a company’s business strategy through their advertisement campaigns or even taking it upon myself to create content and write for my family members’ new business ideas!
During my LRobInspires internship, I’ve had the opportunity to lend a hand in a variety of processes here. Some of my favorite experiences have included working on design and content strategy for social media, editing and revising articles, and collaborating with the other amazing interns by exchanging feedback and offering thoughtful insight into how something can be improved. This kind of project-based internship allows us interns to explore all facets of marketing and brand management with real-world experience and tangible results.
LRobInspires’ impactful internship program lets me expand upon my professional skills and pursue a career I’m truly passionate about. I’m currently in charge of creating social media posts for one of our clients, and I have to say it’s been incredibly fun brainstorming new layouts and amplifying their brand strategy with creativity and a sharp eye! I’m so happy to be continuing work with LRobInspires during the school year, and I am even more grateful for every opportunity here where I’m able to practice marketing for purpose-driven brands!
Sophia
Hi, I’m Sophia, and I graduated from Providence College in May with a degree in marketing! I am from Medway, MA, and love to read, attend hot yoga classes, and cook and bake in my free time. This summer I started baking sourdough, which has turned into one of my favorite hobbies! I came to LRobInspires because of the opportunities to learn from and collaborate with such a knowledgeable, hardworking, and supportive team of experts.
I’ve been able to learn the ins and outs of all different types of accounts, which has improved my technical and digital marketing skills and overall business knowledge. My favorite hands-on marketing project so far has been working to rename one of our clients’ brands, as there is so much thought and collaboration throughout the entire process. Interning at LRobInspires is special because almost any kind of marketing or business procedure is available to explore and get involved in. Being proactive and eager to learn has opened so many opportunities for me to build confidence and determine my strengths as a marketing associate.
The LRobInspires team is supportive, collaborative, welcoming, and fun, offering an agency internship experience like no other. After I wrap up my LRobInspires internship program, I will be exploring full-time marketing analyst positions.
