Making the Case for Giving Tuesday
By Allison Harris
With Giving Tuesday approaching on December 3rd, 2024, the world will be watching and listening to nonprofits – are you ready to captivate hearts and minds with your story?
Start with a Brand the Moves People
A brand is so much more than a logo and colors—it’s the complete experience you offer. It’s the seamless blend of visual and verbal elements that ensure every interaction reflects who you are and what you stand for. To truly connect, your brand must be authentic, purposeful, and powerful.
In the coming weeks, prospective donors will be flooded with requests. Will your brand stand out? Will it inspire them to take action? Now is the time to make sure your brand speaks to their hearts and moves them to make a difference.
The Power of Story Telling on Giving Tuesday

People don’t just give to causes, they give to stories that inspire hope, strength, and change. What is your story? How do potential donors engage with it? Telling real stories about the lives your organization touches can and will differentiate you.
We invite you to visit one of our past client’s websites: Embrace Kulture – a nonprofit dedicated to developing a culture of acceptance in East Africa, where children with special needs are embraced for what makes them unique. Their website tells the story of a young girl, the peril she faces of being misunderstood, the success of the organization that is helping her, and the final word of her having equal standing with her peers for the rest of her life.
“The young woman is Kansiime. She’s sweet, she’s kind, her smile is infectious and even though she’s young, she’s faced more danger than most of us will in a lifetime. We advocate for young people like Kansiime.”
The story concludes with: What will you do to help?
Embrace Kulture captivates its audience—not just with the facts of its mission but with the undeniable passion that drives it. Only after connecting deeply does it make its call to action: get involved and donate. This is a strong blueprint your organization should consider this Giving Tuesday—engage hearts first, then inspire action.
Make them Feel
This Giving Tuesday, let your brand’s story inspire generosity. Whether it’s a donation, volunteering, or sharing your mission, your story can move people to make a difference. Show them how they can give back and be part of something meaningful.
Our Inspiration

Check out some of our non-profit partners who engaged with us to tell their stories and amplify their brands to the world:
For our client Team Heart, a group dedicated to increasing access to cardiac care in Rwanda, we created a brand voice and personality meant to raise awareness, broaden their audience, and bring new energy to their mission. Rheumatic Heart Disease, often caused by untreated strep throat as a child, is a death sentence for many in Rwanda. Even those who know they have it, like Charlotte (Charlotte: Activist, Teacher, Mother, and Patient – Team Heart), a mother of four, funding a trip to China or India for surgery, let along funding the surgery alone, is not an option. Once a year, Team Heart doctors travel to Rwanda to perform lifesaving heart surgery. There are countless stories of those they have saved and exponentially more of those waiting to be saved. Telling the story of Team Heart saves lives.
We had an incredible opportunity with Teach the World Foundation (TTWF) to help build their brand. Our Brand Workshop inspired their dedicated team and together we crafted a voice, personality, tagline, and color palette to amplify the TTWF brand. Rukshana, (Stories of Impact — Teach the World Foundation) a girl with no formal education and whose family was displaced by a flood when she was 14, relocated to an impoverished area where she didn’t know the language. After enrolling in a TTWF microschool, she quickly flourished and is now a teacher and role model to other children who don’t yet know how to feel hope…but they will. Telling the story of Teach the World Foundation changes lives.
Haiti has been in the headlines for gang violence and natural disasters, painting a grim picture. But amidst the challenges, Jou Nouvo offers a glimmer of hope. Founded in 2008 by Haitian native Kerline Tofuri, Jou Nouvo is transforming lives in Bon-Repos, Haiti, through Adult Literacy, Basic Health Education, Small Business Loans, and Child Sponsorship programs.
LRobInspires partnered with Jou Nouvo to create a compelling new website that amplifies their story. One of the most moving features is the ‘Get Involved’ page, where you can meet the children waiting for support.
Jou Nouvo is more than an organization—it’s a movement that rewrites Haiti’s story from a cycle of poverty to a cycle of hope. Explore their work and be part of the change: Get Involved – Jou Nouvo – New Day Telling the story of Jou Nouvo changes the narrative from a cycle of poverty to a cycle of hope.
Closer to home, LRobInspires partnered with Leadership MetroWest (LMW), an organization truly dedicated to inspiring community leaders. While LMW knew their value, they struggled to articulate it clearly and consistently. Through a Brand Workshop, along with a refreshed logo and website, LMW has honed their purpose: to connect, grow, and inspire leaders.
With renewed clarity and confidence, LMW’s brand now fully embodies their mission, boldly sharing it with the world. Telling the story of Leadership MetroWest doesn’t just define their brand — it strengthens entire communities.
LRobInspires is here to help define or refine your brand and craft a story that truly resonates. If you feel your donors don’t fully connect with your “why,” let’s change that. Reach out to us for a brand consultation. Together, we’ll ensure your message inspires as deeply as the work you do!
